A Multisensory Design Experience

Ok, so after one big pop-up event here at the TypeO farm in Hunnestad, and a smaller pop-in collaborating with a men’s fashion store in town, we are now graduating to a new level. During the 2018 edition of Stockholm Design Week and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, we are moving TypeO to a physical retail space in central Stockholm for one week only (but who knows … ). The space doubles as a specialty coffee shop and supper club.
Collaborating with Cristian Lind of Temporärt, a vintage furniture dealer and interior stylist, we merge the TypeO range of handpicked interior design items and usable objects with a carefully curated selection of vintage furniture.
Together, we stage a temporary aesthetic universe – a design and retail experience – configured to stir the senses. It is our way of telling our story in a more tangible way and to be able to meet and interact with you.
And of course to allow you to touch and experience the goods we have on offer. Everything in the space is for sale.
For the opening night on February 1, Nordic Spirits Lab, a pan-Nordic innovative platform within the drinks industry, has developed unique signature cocktails for the occasion, where each specially designed cocktail mirrors a different aspect of the experience. This evening is by invitation only.
Between February 2–11, we hope to see you at our temporary location at Kronobergsgatan 9 in Stockholm. We will be open every day from 11.00–18.00, so come have a look around and shop in a relaxing and homey environment. Our specialty coffee shop will be open if you want to grab a cup and a pastry while you browse and shop for interior items, art and vintage furniture.
The hand-selected pieces include work by Slovenian light designer Tilen Sepič, Belgian architect Marc Merckx, Swedish ceramists Alexandra Nilasdotter and Alvina Jakobsson and Swedish painters Maria Leinonen and Sebastian Falk, to name a few.
One of five dishes at the Temporary Table, photographed by Martin Nordin, consists of purple carrots cooked in whey and roasted in a wood fire oven, and served with labneh and a sauce reduction on whey, honey, apple cider vinegar, tonka bean and brandy.
On three occasions throughout the week, we turn our space into a supper club – the Temporary Table. In the evening of February 3, 7 and 8, we have teamed up with food visionary, creative director and author Martin Nordin, who will serve a multi-course meal paired with accompanying beverages.
The dinner will be a sensory experience that takes 16 guests, seated along a large communal table in the immersive aesthetic space, on a journey of stories, memories and emotions through the use of various aromas, flavours, textures and visualisations.
The dining experience will last around four hours, which gives guest time to get acquainted and have a nice relaxing evening at "our place". Tickets are available at typeo.se now and the price, set at 155 EUR, covers all parts of the dining experience.
Welcome to a different design and retail experience at Kronobergsgatan 9 in Stockholm, Sweden.
